MASS SCALE REPLACEMENT OF INCANDESCENT BULBS

IN NIGERIA, YOU'D BE AMAZED TO FIND THAT AT LEAST IN EVERY 3 HOMES YOU VISIT THERE WILL BE TWO USERS OF INCANDESCENT BULBS.

It is as common as black skin is common because these bulbs are easy, cheap and readily available for the use of common people who have no idea how much electrical energy these incandescent bulbs consume.

AS A MATTER OF FACT, in energy management parlance, THESE BULBS ARE CALLED ENERGY GUZZLERS because of their high energy consuming configuration.

they come in 200 watts, 100 watts and 60 watts ranges and consume energy according to their size.

Thank Heavens for the recent mass installation of prepaid meters to Lagos consumers as this led to drastic reduction in the use of these light bulbs and instead has led to the adoption of CFL bulbs that come with 25 watts rating and less.

This so gladden our hearts and made over 1000 fishes to rejoice at the depth of the ocean.

Our company has the vision to replace 1,000, 000 incandescent bulbs starting from Year 2020 and we are looking for reputable partners who perhaps can arrange for bulk purchase in partnership with one of Nigerias Discos.

ENERGY WITHOUT PAYMENT

MANY BUSINESSES WANT TO SAVE A TON OF MONEY but do not understand how they can. For this many CEOs rack their brains on end and attend seminar and conferences for the way out. I can show you how you can save a bullion van of money on your business. And it is via simple economics.

Check Into Renewable Energy Sources

Fact is, Solar power and other renewable energy is a long way from replacing electricity or gas completely for the vast majority of businesses. But solar panels, geo-thermal heat pumps, wind mills and other renewable energy sources may be used to reduce reliance on traditional energy and the kick is once you fix this, you start to GET ENERGY WITHOUT PAYMENT.

Swell isn't it. Absolutely fantastic if you ask me. For Nigerian businesses who spend a lot on generator and still end up with shocking utility bills at the end of the month, Solar PV system is the way out of bleeding bank account.

There are incentives and programs just for these available in rich countries like the US and UK — ranging from tax breaks and rebates, to grants and loan programs. In Nigeria here where our business is, you will need a moderately fat purse to be able to set up renewable energy source like Solar PV System.

IF YOU HAVE INTEREST IN SETTING UP A RELIABLE SOLAR PV SYSTEM (WITH OVER 10 YEARS LIFESPAN), give us a call at ZEUS ENERGY LIMITED (Wale on 07033763276 or Victor 08037671637) and we will give you a design that will give you peace of mind and save you a bank of money.

WATER EFFICIENCY IS ENERGY EFFICIENCY

WATER IS LIFE. This is fact. Now imagine a tap that is supposed to regulate the flow of this precious water leaking. How would it feel like? Messy and wasteful, right?

Did you know that a 100,000 liters of water in a leaking tank will not take 100 hours to leak away if the leak is not fixed. Do your findings and share with me.

NOW HOW DO YOU MANAGE YOUR WATER RESOURCES IN A WAY THAT TRANSLATES TO MANAGING YOUR ENERGY USE?

Make Faucets, Toilets and Water Heaters Efficient

Leaking faucets and other fixtures can result in hundreds to thousands of dollars (lots of Naira) in extra water bills each year - both for individual, factory and state water resources. SO FIX EVERY LEAKING TAP AND BAD FAUCETS

Also, insulate your water heater if necessary to cut down on heating costs. Adjust the temperature of hot water heaters, too. Experts recommend between 110 and 120 degrees.

the idea is water saved in a tank is energy saved in the grid

DEMOCRATIZATION OF ENERGY

I heard these words recently and it changed my perspective to the Green World Agenda that I hold in high esteem.  “Democratization of energy” – seems a mouthful right? Well, it is really a simple idea capable of revolutionizing our dark continent still living in energy poverty into energy abundance. It is like the process of democracy – a government made by everyone for everyone but this time brought to energy distribution.  It is a lofty ambition that myself and my brothers as stakeholders in Zeus Energy Limited are committed to achieving for our dear fatherland and African continent.

To us, democratization of energy involves bringing energy to people in need of it at a relatively affordable rate, and by energy I mean renewable energy. It is enjoying same rights that come with democracy like right to life and right to vote and be voted for. To further this vision of ours, our lead engineer consultant in the person of Olakunle and his team are coming up with innovative energy solutions for small business owners who spend a premium on gasoline generator in business with small profits. We intend to alleviate their energy wahala and poverty using these solar powered business units. We already launched Solar Tel made by Ecowatt Nigeria used for charging phones and it is in pilot stage at Computer Village in Lagos.

Our dream is to replicate these holistic solar systems for as many as 1000000 SME owners, in the way phasing out “I better pass my neighbor” generator and saving a forest reserve of trees. If you are an investor and would like to buy into our innovation, give us a buzz. We are looking for green partners in progress. Let’s make money bags together using the cleanest energy on the green planet.

Democracy for energy distribution will electrify Africa. Let all nations on the black continent take cue and advance into light.
See you soon green people.

THE GREEN PRESIDENT

In Honour Of President Barack Obama

Of all the towering achievements of my brother in office as the 44th President of the United States of America, President Barack Obama stands taller than a giant with his indelible imprints in raising the bar on renewable energy in America, particularly his administration's investment in large scale Solar PV installation and raising energy efficiency standards. This shows the president as a man with caring heart who understands that earth, our precious earth needs to be conserved in order for the coming generations to enjoy from it and take a cue on conservation from us. It confirmed Obama as a green president.

Yes, President Barack Obama has achieved a lot since he assumed office in 2009. A man unlike no other, his vision for America took the distressed nation out of recession and unjust war and planted her on a firm foothold. I cannot fully recount what God has achieved through this extra ordinary man but what delights me most as an environmentalist is his stand on CLIMATE CHANGE. My President, with his executive power, stood up for conserving the planet and invested his faith in the redeeming quality of Nature. This will make his name ring resonantly through the ages,  remembered by generations to come as the President who loved Earth.

As he returns back to the States from a trip back home to Africa, I join my brothers at Zeus Energy Limited to wish the President and his entire entourage safe trip and join a billion other Africans to say God Bless Obama.
Be green.

BETWEEN POWER AND ENERGY

My blog post for today is to enlighten you about the mystery of Physics called Power and Energy. These two terms, which we hear everyday yet know next to nothing about, are, as I learnt, the "spirit" behind a well lighted city so in curiosity I asked my brother who is an Electrical Electronics Engineer to enlighten me so I can share with you.

According to him, Power is the storehouse of Energy. Perplexed, I said please explain. He continued that Power is like a static force (of electricity) which is capable of being productive when it is released as Energy. It is like a sea of electricity which is quickened when it flows in channels of waters to its point of use. In other words, Power is static while energy is dynamic. It is why Power is measured in Kilowatts (Kw) while Energy is measured in kilowatthour (Kwh), that is how much power is used within a stated period. They complement each other and are dependent on one another.Clarified now? I hope so.

So the translation to me is simply that for Africa to have energy to industrialize and modernize, Power must be provided by the stakeholders of development in Africa- governments, industrialists, international development partners and power scientists. Expedient measures and holistic Power agenda must be devised and vigourously pursued by African nations, complemented by massive investments in alternative/renewable energy. It is not enough to build power plants and hydro stations all over the continent, African leaders must be smart to harvest the immeasurable energy latent in the Sahara Sun that shines all year round.

As a new government kicks in by May 29 in Nigeria, it is the hope of ZEUS ENERGY LIMITED that the incoming government will toe the path of intellectual nations and invest in renewable energy as its being done all over advanced world. The path to sustainable development is in adopting green measures and in giving back to Nature.

RET is the way to go, Nigeria!!! I say again, let's go there.
