Truth is, that Africa is still suffering from power poverty in 21st Century, despite the advancement in power technologies and innovation all over the world, is a cause for oracular consultation. True! We need to seek divination from Ifa or Olodumare, or better still, seek the face of the Lord in fasting and prayer. Lol
My experience and exposure as a renewable energy entrepreneur makes me sad to see the bulk of African homes and business still in stark darkness when a simple Solar PV system married with Direct Current (DC) appliances can provide sustainable energy supply that will last a lifetime. We have been practicing this new revolution in power generation with commendable results. With this new discovery, we comfortably and happily say bye-bye to gasoline generators and the economic poverty it breeds. No more carbon monoxide poisoning or overnight fire outbreak resulting from power surge.
All Africa needs to exit darkness of power poverty forever is for the old school leaders scattered around the continent to make a move to retirement and allow young brains with innovations take over the rein of leadership. We need a President in Nigeria who will invest massively in Renewable Energy, married with efficient engagement of power resources that DC Revolution will bring about. It is anachronistic today to waste so much money and resources in pursuing power plans that negate the environment and degrade human development.
