LOW HANGING FRUITS
I was listening to the Presidential Debate over the weekend
and was very excited to hear one of the aspirants talk about energy
conservation when asked what his plans were as regards attaining power
sufficiency in Nigeria. Yes, there is no prospective Governor or President
worth his salt in Nigeria or anywhere in Africa who should not know about
energy conservation and efficiency. It is no rocket science. It is just a
simple science of common sense whose widespread knowledge will bring out the
brighter side of our continent.
The aspirant I was
talking about talked about the attitudinal change that negawatt revolution is
anchored on. He made an illustration that if we could replace an incandescent
bulb of say 40 watts with energy saving bulbs of 5 watts, then we have saved 35
watts which could be shared with others in need of it. Simple science isn’t it?
It will be a great advancement for African governments to adopt this policy and
join us in building what we at Zeus Energy Limited call the Largest Virtual
Power Plant in the world.
It is no fay dream. It is real. It is our mission to pluck
all "low hanging fruits" in Nigeria. By replacing every incandescent
bulb (low hanging fruit) with an energy saving bulb, then we can build power
plants in the cloud that will supply Africa's energy need, giving us a brighter
world electrified by ideas and the noble dream to build a sustainable ecosystem
for coming generations. Join us in plucking every low hanging fruit you can.
Together we can.
We wish every Nigerian a successful General Election and
urge all patriotic Africans to support this fledgling democracy in our
motherland, as we build a beautiful world that our children can be proud of.
Happy celebrations.
